NREVSD Board of Education members with Gabe Kellum, January 2025's Beth Webster Leading Lion Award Winner

Gabe Kellum, a New Richmond Middle School staff member who is always willing to step up and fill whatever role needed, earned January's Beth Webster Leading Lion award for her dedication to the district.

Kellum was honored by Associate Principal Larry Kozlowski for those tendencies at the January meeting of the NREVSD Board of Education.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with her in various capacities and I’ve had the opportunity to witness first-hand her dedication, professionalism, and exceptional work ethic,” Mr. Kozlowski said.

Kellum’s dedication to the students of NRMS was on full display that night as she arrived at the ceremony straight from working the concession stands at a junior high basketball game.

“She consistently goes above and beyond,” Mr. Kozlowski said. “She handles every task with poise, enthusiasm and attention to detail. Her positive attitude and eagerness to assist make her a delight to work alongside."

Quick notes: Course guides approved, treasurer’s update

At the January meeting, NREVSD approved 2025-2026 course guides for our secondary campus. Draft versions of those guides are available online here (NRHS) and here (NRMS).
Additionally, NREVSD Treasurer Matthew Prichard provided an update on the district’s finances through December. Due to the early closure of the Zimmer Power Plant, NREVSD faces a significant financial shortfall in the near future.

Detailed information for the month of December 2024 can be viewed here.
