To our community:
The New Richmond Exempted Village School District (NREVSD) Board of Education has contracted with the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) to assist in our search for a new superintendent. The new superintendent will begin work following the retirement of Tracey Miller, who served since 2019. The board hopes to complete the search and announce the name of our selected candidate in March.
In our effort to make the best possible selection, we have included in the search process a time for OSBA consultant Cheryl Ryan to meet with staff and community in several focus groups on Wednesday, February 12. The focus groups are intended to help clarify the profile we’ve developed for our next district leader. Common themes will help as we evaluate potential candidates for an interview. These conversations will focus on gathering perspectives in three main areas:
Major issues, challenges or opportunities for our district;
Performance experience or expectations for the next superintendent; and
Leadership characteristics that should be evident in the next superintendent.
As a valued participant and stakeholder in the New Richmond school community, your input is important. Please consider attending a focus group at the district’s central offices at 1135 Bethel-New Richmond Rd, New Richmond, OH 45157. The times/audiences for the four focus groups are:
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. - classified staff members
11:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. - administrators
4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. - certified staff members
5 p.m. to 6 p.m. - open to any NREVSD community member
On behalf of each of the five members of the Board of Education, thank you in advance for your willingness to participate and for your dedication to all students in our district.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Zimmerman
President, Board of Education
