PE class at Monroe is lots of fun & games! These Kindergarten students learned how to build hula hoop castles in a thrilling game of castle ball... They practiced their throwing, catching, and building skills while demonstrating positive teamwork and following multi-step directions. Well done!

Ms. Langdon brings a literal worlds worth of knowledge to the students of Monroe Elementary! 💥 🤔 🌍 Did you know that Ms. Langdon has visited over 50 different countries and has spent the last 11 years teaching in the NREVSD? 💥 ✈️ 🎨 Check her out in action as she helps students in first grade cultivate creativity and art skills while creating fun monsters! 💥 🧠 👹

Did you know that we partner with Kona Ice to not only beat the heat, but to also provide positive behavior incentives for students at Monroe? Proceeds from all sales on Kona Ice days benefit our students and our school! Our teachers thank you for your support & our students thank you for their yummy Kona Ice treats!!

Did you know that we use a daily math curriculum here at Monroe Elementary? Students in grades K-5 get a daily dose of mathematical practice via our Bridges in Mathematics curriculum. 🦁 🧠 💪
Bridges in Mathematics provides students various learning opportunities through a collaborative process that requires students to be responsible for their own learning, persevere, and be willing to experience disequilibrium. 🧮

Today in summer school... Students took their knowledge of Ancient Rome to the next level by creating a game board with directions based upon Ancient Roman games. Students worked on applying comprehension skills and using temporal words! Thanks for sharing, Mr. Stock!
