My name is Dr. Jamie Kunz and I am honored to serve as Monroe Elementary School's Principal. I am a resident of the New Richmond community and a parent to two NRHS graduates and one Monroe Elementary lion. As an educator, parent, and community member, I am committed to making your child's elementary experience a positive and memorable one!

One of the most important components of a great school is the partnership between the school and families, who work together for the best interest of children. The close partnership between home and school is one of the exceptional strengths at Monroe! It is my hope that all of our families, teachers, and staff will work together to continue to foster an enthusiasm for learning and an appreciation for education.

My personal educational vision is that the entire Monroe Elementary School community is a family. We will work hard, support one another, and grow together. The success of our school is the byproduct of our commitment to working together in positive and meaningful ways.

My core values stem from building a lasting, positive culture within our school based upon the following three tenets:

Culture of Personalization: Our school will be a "Home Away from Home" for students, staff, families, and community. It will be a place where the climate provides personalized learning for every student, built on strong partnerships with all members of our learning community. Everyone will be treated with respect and appreciation.

Culture of Collaboration: Our school will be a place where everyone works together and takes ownership of developing and maintaining a dynamic student-centered learning environment.

Culture of Excellence: Our school will be a place where academic and personal excellence is an expectation for all. It must be our fundamental belief that all students can learn, grow, and achieve at high levels.
